The similar effect can be realized with empire style plus size wedding dresses provided the bodice remains loose enough to flow freely into the dress portion of the gown. The use of crinoline is not recommended with empire or "A" line dresses, however they can be used to help the gown not appear to be form-fitting. While some brides may choose to make their own plus size wedding dresses, there are numerous designers understanding the needs of women with larger body sizes.
