An American Wedding Is a Family AffairThe American wedding is often planned by the bride and her mother with some input from the groom and his family. The parents of the bride pay so many of the expenses so they do get to make many of the decisions. The American wedding usually takes place in a very special setting. The American wedding often takes place in a religious center which is usually very picturesque. These places offer some beauty and built in facilities right from the start. The church will probably have an organ or piano for the basic music needs. These institutions are designed to help people with special ceremonies. An American Wedding Is a Ceremony and a Party An American wedding starts with a ceremony of love and commitment. This is usually a romantic ritual with all of the friends and family there to witness the happy union. The bride and groom say vows to show their love and commitment in the course of the ceremony. The setting is often spectacular, and the wedding party is dressed in beautiful clothes. At the end of the ceremony, the bride and groom are legally bound by this commitment. The American wedding is romantic, but also a legal procedure to bind the couple until death or divorce do they part. An American wedding is also a party. After the ceremony, the bride and groom meet with their friends and family at the reception that has been planned for months, maybe more than a year, in advance. The reception is a time to eat, drink and socialize with old and new friends and acquaintances. The festivities center on the wedding couple, and the guests have the opportunity to offer their good wishes and wedding gifts. American weddings are wonderful occasions with joy and happiness for all. |
